Internal Town Growth in Evony

To build your Evony internal Town you need resources. Resources are created by your external city - your farms, sawmills, ironmines and quarries. So you need to do some creation on your external City - but I would also suggest having balance - and growing your internal City as well.

And the nice thing is that there are plenty of rewards for growing various building in your town.

First your cottages - up to level 2 (as that is the limit until you level up your TownHall.

You started off with four cottages. I would build that up to nine fairly quickly. Can never have enough room for you people.

Next I would build an Inn and a Feasting Hall. That way you can recruit a hero (they lead your armies and also become mayor of your town). And rewards for building each (follow your quests).

Other key buildings to create would be a Rally Point and a Barracks. Next I would build a Warehouse and a Marketplace.

Throughout your building you will be running low on resources. You may have to take a few breaks to let them build up. Relax - no hurry in building your dynasty.

Building our City Resources

So now you should have the basics of you city going. As you grow your city we have to keep some balance.

You want to build both your external City and your internal Town up.

Let's look at your external City and what you should be working towards.

Out in the fields in your city view you have 13 squares. Four should already be Sawmills, and one each of Farms, Ironmines and Quarries.

I would suggest you build towards Three Farms - Five Sawmills - Two Ironmines and Three Quarries. I try to build them up to level two as soon as I create them. Then I level them up one at a time as resources allow.

You need an ironmine to be level 3 in order to build a Forge (internal Town) - so should do that sometime.

Also you get a reward for completing a quest to build a farm to level 5 - so that is another goal you can work towards.

I also usually get my Sawmills all up to level 3 at least fairly soon - as I run low on lumber all the time.
